It is great on a bass boat. you have two hands on the steering wheel, and one finger on the pro-Trim when you need it. Plus both eyes straight a head. that is way you need one.

I've use the push button trim switch on my steering wheel for years. It just broke and i wanted a knew design. It works great. still have to get use to it.

Per the manufacturer, people have done it but we do not recommend it, do to the shortage of space between the top of the bezel and the bottom of the steering wheel. That is why we offer the PT2000P. Thanks
The switch stays at the 3 or 9 o'clock position it is held in place on my boat by 3 screws that were provided, i had to use a steering wheel puller to remove the steering wheel and remove the 3 screws then place the tilt trim over steering shaft and reinstall the screws and put steering wheel back on took about 20 min,to install.
