Teknetics Delta Metal Detector
After doing months and months of research and planning I purchased this Delta 4000 metal detector. I was slightly hesitant because it seemed to be cheaply made. I took it on a test run in my yard and had multiple false readings. I am on approximately 130 feet of sand.
After attempting this numerous times I decided to bury a sample. I placed the quarter approximately 5 inches deep in the soil and I placed a dime approximately 4 inches deep in the sandbox. I'm here to tell you this disappointing machine detected neither coins. If I could rate it less than 1 star I would.

a 50c piece and several pieces of junk..
Am looking forward to doing some real searching...

I chewed on a few different models and brands.
I researched reviews on all that I was interested in.
I found none for this unit, anywhere. So, here is my contribution to my fellow average guy, who wants his moneys worth. The Delta is awesome. simply put. The digital target readout is the way to go, it
gives depth, discriminates between metals. If it says it's a quarter, you find a quarter, nickel shown is a nickel found. Suprised how light it was. Different tones identify different metals, so you don't dig to find an aluminum can. A Bass Pro employee
told me he sold a few at Christmas and those customers came back to tell him how happy they were with it, and they were'nt returned, not one. I can see why. Wished they'd written a review!
Can't say enough about it . Very impressed!
Bought My 7 yr old the Jr. bounty hunter detector so he could go with me, and it worked well too!
