I Tried some specialty rods for dropshotting, but this rod gives me the best all around performance.The slightly thicker tip helps to drive the hook on the set. I was losing some fish with softer tip rods. The 6` 10`` lenth is crucial for a long cast, and gives great leverage controlling big fish. Light sensitive strong rod.

I do alot of smallmouth fishing on lake Erie and have used alot of different rods for dropshotting. The TD-X by far has been the best overall rod. The tip gets a bit mushy with big weights but for the price and feel it wins hands down. Definitely give it a try.

used lots of high dollar rods before but none of them can compare to this ones sensitivity. can't beat it for dragging tubes or dropshoting
