I would consider the Bass Prolite, great reel for the price and throwing light lures.

It truely is a great reel for the money. But some of them just don't last long because the bearings are not very durable.

This was a limited time offer. The reel if I remember correctly was offered at $79 or $89 when it was first released..

Review History?

Details:
Based on the reviews this set up does not seem to be ideal. My only hang up is most all good experiences go unposted while most certainly all bad will be shouted loud and clear. With that how can bass pro back a set up that has so many problems? Or is it the later scenario I just mentioned?

Dustin,
While i am not certain, it stands to reason that Bass Pro has a vested interest in having reels made "just for them" and i am sure they retail for quite a bit more than BPS pays for them. As for quality control/Customer Complaints i am sure that you are right, MOST good experiences are not reported, just the poor ones. While there are several poor reviews there are good ones too so it seems like these reels are hit or miss.
