Rated 5 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very smooth - excellent value Very smooth reel with many upgraded features without the upgraded price. The only downside would be the lack of an extra spool. In this price range you will not fins a better reel. April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by BUY I bought this reel to pair with a Team Daiwa T spinning rod. This combo works really well, The reel is well built, can fit a ton of line on (4000 series) and has the strength to handle any big fish. I took this fishing in Florida and used it cranking for largemouth bass, throwing lures a country mile this reel is super smooth. It will not tire you out even though the 4000 series is large, it is super lightweight and a decent drag, fish beware! One thing I would have liked to have seen is a spare reel but for the price this reel is awesome. April 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by sweet-nice balance-solid As others have said, quality reel with features of those priced twice as much. February 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by No Regrets Bought it to go on my new 7' Berkley Lightning rod. It makes a very well balanced combo. This reel is extremely smooth, perfect speed for crank baits and even plastic worming. I have not experienced any frustrating tangles either. I also think it is very attractive with the appearance of a high quality reel. July 28, 2012

I plan on using it for crappie and bass mainly. Also, would it work well with crankbaits? What test lb line can it handle? Any other helpful info/tips would be appreciated. I thank you in advance.

I'm looking at both of these for some bass fishing mostly and they both seem to be well liked. Being that I am new again to the sport I could really use some help. Thank you.

A:
I'm in the same situation myself, but after researching I'm going with the Daiwa. To me, it appears the Daiwa provides slightly better quality and durability for the same price. Although, you probably can't go wrong with either one at this price. I have Daiwa currently, but different reel type, and it maybe the best reel I've ever owned.
