As a Deputy Sheriff in Calif. in the 70's and early 80"s, I carried a Colt Combat Com. in .45 cal. It defended my life several times without a problem. I am now a park ranger in Colo. and I carry a Taurus PT 145 as a duty weapon, and concealed carry. I have put about 750 rnds of different ammo through this weapon with only on failure to eject on the first round. My dept. is talking about standardizing to either 9mm, or .40. I will buy a Taurus Millennium in .40 cal. I trust this weapon that much.

While shopping for a personal defense gun at Bass Pro Shop, the salesperson showed me this piece. Compact, but not too small to to shoot accurately, it holds a whopping 10+1 rounds of 45. Easy to carry concealed, it has functioned flawlessly through over 800 rounds so far. I own several 45's, but this is my favorite carry gun do to it's small profile. The attached photo shows it compared to my Ruger SR9c. The Taurus is the same size, but carries a bigger bullet.
As mentioned in an earlier review, it shoots a bit low, as do most short pistols, so practice is a must. It's not a target gun, but shoots well out to 10-12yd, which is going to cover most self defense senarios. You can use Taurus 24/7 12 round magazines with this gun if you want a little more capacity than the two stock 10 rounders that come with the gun. I'm very happy with this little BIG gun.

It also shots very low. But i got adjusted fast.
I own the 380 version and only had Mag issue.
Other then that, both are" OK " i guess.

I do like the gun and I conceal carry it wherever I go. I wear an inside the pants holster on my lower back and it doesn't get in the way at all. However the issue I have with the weapon is that the magazine release button is located right where I put my thumb when holding the pistol. I have accidentally released the magazine several times already because of the location of this button. I will either have to deal with it or change my grip. It does shoot well and is made well. I'd recommend it to someone if they dont think they would have the same problems I'm having.
