Here is a trusty weapon, with the veratile capacity to do a number of firearm chores very well. The .410 offers a choice of ammo, for close up birds, snakes, other small game. The .410 Self Defense loads available are simply wicked, highly effective.
.45 Colt loads offer stopping power in a range of ammo from Cowboy Rounds at about 745 fps. To Tank stopping Corbon rounds at 1250 fps.
I carry mine in a shoulder holster kayaking. I ain't afraid of gators or snakes.... Buy one and have some FUN !!

It's caliber. Usually a magnum cartridge is a basic caliber (say 22, 38, or 44) with a bit of an extended case and hotter powder load. Magnum calibers are all designed to improve their initial parent load and run at considerably higher pressures.
