The durable, soft plastic Tackle Industries Super D™ Swimbaits have all the features to make them one of the top producing musky and pike lures in your arsenal. An internal harness and a jighead give the Super D Swimbaits a super durable and tough backbone, while its detailed soft plastic body with 3-D eyes, lateral fins, gill plates and curly tail seductively swims through the water at a 45 degree angle on the fall and horizontally on the retrieve. The internal harness and four lateral fins give the Super D Swimbaits the balance and stability needed to rock back and forth on the retrieve which drives musky, pike and other gamefish to strike. The Super D Swimbaits are effective at any speed, can be twitched or jerked over weeds, on weed edges and on or around structure. Outfitted with triple split rings and heavy-duty 3X brass hooks.
Tackle Industries Super D™ Swimbaits - Magnum or Regular
I don't know why some people complain about these, I think they are great. Some will say that the original bull dawg is the only way to go but these hold up much better. I tossed a walleye coloured one and a 48 absolutely crushed it!!! Still in perfect shape. Grab one and start fishing!

What a TANK
Never thought I would say that a rubber swimbait is a tank among lures but the SuperD is. What an improvement over other swimbaits that generally fall a part after a few fish. Works like a dream from casting to trolling and my SuperD lures have boated me a lot of fish. Great lures. Wish they made tubes like this with the toughness.

One of the best swimbaits
The SuperD swimbait definitely earned a big place in my tacklebox last year. Toughest swimbait I have ever used. Used to use dawgs but the lead head in the lure kept popping out ruining the bait. The SuperD coil harness really keeps the body on the bait. Up to 13 fish on one of them so far. Solid bait and easy to use. Cast like a dream too, more like a bullet!

Don't waste your $$
Took this bait out to see just how it would run. Tangled quite frequently with hooks and tail. It ran off to one side every other cast. I suppose it would work if you would put up with that but right out of the box I would expect something to work much better than this. Time to reengineer.

Works well in WV for musky. We paint red gills onto the baits for added realism. Bright red fingernail polish works well for this. Sometimes that little bit gets the strike you want. Buy 3-4 different colors and see which one your tigers might like. Seems more effective in slightly cloudy water.
This really depends on the lake that you are fishing. This bait is intended for fishing for muskies. The best suggestion would be to check with local marina owners and your state's conservation department for clues on the major forage species in the lake. Then, match the lure that you are choosing to closely resemble the "hatch" that the game fish you are targeting are feeding on.
