Works great Install was very easy. Did it at the lake with a cordless drill and a couple flat wrenches. Works good so far. September 7, 2012

Junk. This winch came apart after just 2 trips out. First, retainer clip pin came off end of worm gear and allowed it to slip out of position. Then it would not function up or down. Tried to remove cover to examine inside workings, the screws holding the cover on were loc-tighted on so bad, I had to use impack wrench, but could only to get 1 of them off without ruing screw. Had to grind the other 3 off to access the inside. Found both nuts holding top support bar had also rattled loose, then fell off as well. Went back to my hand operated anchor system. August 10, 2008
I hope it is a great machine I was really impressed with the quick delivery of this anchor. Ordered on Monday afternoon and it arived on Thursday. I was impressed. with the fast delivery. The anchor arrived with no damage, it was tripled packed. I installed it that night with just a few minor hitches. 1) the directions are hard to understand-it helps with a few pictures but everything went together okay. 2) The control button cover is made a little weak and cracked when i was installing it. I operated it in the garage only so far, and it worked great. We will see after a few times on the water. The nice idea with this unit over others is the fact that it is one unit instead of the winch and anchor davit being two seperate pieces. I would consider this a defintely wise buy and I am planning on ordering another one for my pontoon as soon as I use this in the next week. April 25, 2008
