CARPET IS THICKER THAN ORIGINAL CAUSING DOORS TO FIT TOO TIGHT.
NOT HOOK FRIENDLY AT ALL. CATCHES HOOKS EASILY AND HAVE TO TEAR THEM OUT LEAVING FRAYED MESS.

These latches are just like the original product that came on my 1995 stratos. So they make a good replacement part.

"T" type handle is much more sturdy and performs better. "T" type handle is rougher on the toes but wouldn't be a problem if left closed as its supposed to be.

Don't know why folks are complaining. These latches work well and are easy to install. The locking mechanisms are good enough - a lot like luggage locks. Good enough to keep the casual thief from getting in and keeping honest people honest. Frankly, not many locks/ latches/etc. will keep out a determined thief. So for the price, they are a good value.
