The G-Force Trolling Motor Replacement Handle and Cable from T-H Marine is a giant step forward in trolling motor replacement release and lift systems. Endorsed by B.A.S.S. Elite Pro Gerald "G-Man" Swindle, the G-Force Handle is a rugged, nylon jacketed stainless steel cable with a large comfortable cushioned grip handle. The last thing a tournament angler or any angler needs is a broken rope and handle. And as trolling motors become more powerful, complex and heavy, this is a real concern. The G-Force handle eliminates this potential problem. Fits most trolling motor models and makes. Comes with a hook-n-loop strap to secure to the motor shaft while underway.

Installed the G-Force handle. Have not had a problem with it. I think some of the problems are from incorrect installation. Do NOT install the ball end of the cable in the handle. The directions are poor, I recommend looking on the web at installation videos before installing it. So far so good. Make sure you tighten down the allen screws TIGHT. I also put thread locker on the allen screws, just in case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fiftypoundbag Great product, new design
This was great when it came on the market, but some people (myself included) broke theirs within a few months!
The new design (which is now on my boat) is a much different handle, very solid with no weak points. Have had it on my boat now for 3 months and it works great. I'm assuming that BPS only carries this "new" design.
Installs in minutes, easy for everyone to use.. SHOULD BE STANDARD ON ALL TROLLING MOTORS!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vanellies Great add on
I don't really have a complaint about this product. It fit on my gator mount without having to adjust the bracket at all.
"Just a warning though." Make sure you tighten the set screws as tight as possible. I pulled up on the handle one time when I got the trolling motor stuck in mud and it came undone and I tumbled back into the console area.
I tightened the two screws to the cable as tight as possible and haven't had anymore problems.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bassnvic Good idea, terrible and cheap construction.
Installed the device and used it only three weeks and the cable snapped at the handle. Had to reinstall the original rope pull in the middle of a trip. Once again, good idea, lousy construction.
