Temple Fork Outfitters Signature II Series Fly Rod
Value price - great performance
I recently started fly fishing very small, tight creeks in Utah and decided I had enough of trying to make a different brand's 8'6" rod work in frustratingly brushy conditions. I didn't want to drop a bunch of money on a very small, specialized rod, so I purchased a 6' TFO Lefty Kreh Signature Series II rod in 2-weight to cut down on the branch snags. It ended up being one of the best fly fishing purchases I've made. The 6' size excels in tight cover, throw a great bow & arrow cast, and offers plenty of sensitivity for fast, but light-striking Bonneville cutthroat trout. This rod will be making the trip back home to Pennsylvania with me when I go to fish there in October.

BUY THIS ROD
For the price point, the flex, and the lifetime warranty you cant go wrong. I've had a reddingtion and an Okuma rod and they dont hold a candle to how smooth this rod is. I am from the school of hard knocks, having to read books and what gain experience from people I meet on the river, and comparing this rod to some previous I've had this is miles apart. I also checked out some of the more expensive rods just for comparison and I think I'd take this rod over some that were 249$ and above. Great build quality, attention to detail, the graphite is very nice and flexible in my 4wt and also very stong. I will most likely switch my whole rod outfit to rods from the make.

TFO fly rod
I was surprised with the way it handled, it was not as good a rod as the CV 2 it replaced but I am pleased with it , got to use it today and enjoyed the way it handled, and I really like the life time guaranty.

Great beginner rod.
This is a beautiful rod that is easy to fall in love with. I love the finish and color. I upgraded to the Professional however. The action is very slow. I am not a fan of slower rods for general fly fishing. Doubly so for a beginner. Learn on a faster rod and it will be so much easier in the long run. At least for me. Spend the extra 30 bucks and get the Professional Lefty Kreh. Plus you get a 4 piece rod for easier carrying! All that said, great rod just not quite what I was looking for.
