Rated 5 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome rod at an affordable price I purchased the 9 foot 8 weight version to fish kings and cohos on the Salmon River, NY. This rod performed exceptionally well for the money. I landed over 15 kings on a single outing. It has enough backbone to bring a running king to a halt. However, I didn't like the fly line that came with the outfit when I first casted it. I switched to a SA mastery series and never looked back. I also upgraded the reel which was subpar but I needed a better drag to put the brakes on a running king salmon. Overall, very nice rod at an affordable price but yet cast like a higher end rod. If I was to buy this rod again I would skip the outfit and just purchase the rod itself and put the money difference towards a better reel and line. Don't hesitate to grab this rod!
