Rated 5 out of 5 by Great replacement stock I dropped my Yugo SKS into this stock and am very pleased with it. Assembly was simple. The upper handguard required a little fitting but the amount of material was minor and easy to do. The biggest challenge with the Yugos and perhaps other SKS models, is getting the pin out of the gas tube assembly; you'll likely have to drill & file some but the Tapco stock comes with two replacement rivets. I'll hang on to the wood stock but this is a great and fun alternative to update the ol' SKS. March 6, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by good upgrade The stock installed easily, with only minor trimming on the hand guard. The gun is much more comfortable to shoot with a proper length stock, and it looks great too! October 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good solid stock Bought for my SKS 1953r Tula. The stock did require more trimming than I anticipated for my rifle. All in all after I made the adjustments it did fit and seems to function as advertised. I would not hesitate to recommend this stock. July 14, 2012
