Rated 1 out of 5 by FranklinBen Doesn't Fit I guess I should have read the 1st review on this item, but even if I did, I would have thought that guy was doing it wrong, and that I'd be able to get it to fit. BUT I would have been wrong. 3 people spent an hour trying to fit it, before giving up. Contacted TAPCO and they suggest either grinding/sanding it which they admit would void the warranty, or to return it to the store. Phoned BassPro, and they'll take it back even though I won't be able to get back w/i the 30 day return window. Great service, just wish the darned thing fit! March 25, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by whatme46 Not too good I purchased this handguard for a Bushmaster AR15. On my first attempt to fit it to the rifle I was fairly certain that it was made for a different rifle. However all the documentation and research indicated that it indeed was made for my rifle. It didn't come close to a proper fit in many areas. Fortunately I have some experience with power carving and was, after a couple of hours of fitting, adjusting, carving, re-fitting, able to install the handguard. I was eventually able to modify the handguard sufficiently to obtain a proper, snug fit with no axial or lateral play. I purchased the composite over the aluminum handguard primarily because of the lighter weight and it is less expensive. My impression is that the manufacturer needs to inspect their molds which do wear over time, or at least perform a little QA/QC on their own and attempt to fit their product to a rifle. Even though the fit was terrible, overall, once fitted, I am happy with the handguard. January 25, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by TexasJedediah A little big Well made fit great. The down side is that it bigger than the stock hand guard. I have medium size hands, and changed to a smaller hand guard. Past that it is great. FYI if you want to use a Magpul angled grip you have to get the AFG2. AFG will not fit because of the wings. Hand guard is to wide. January 10, 2013
