TAPCO 20-Round SKS Magazine
Ok so I bought 2 of these brand new instead of the Pro Mag brand because of all the bad online reviews of the Pro mag ones. . . . Well I have the Tapco stock system and these fit PERFECT ! They load GREAT ! Buuuuut. . . Once you get past 15-17 rounds in the mag the spring pressure just isn't there. I have taken it apart and pulled to make more tension and then they work for a little while but then back to basically plopping out the rounds instead of ejecting them. I am now buying 2 Pro mag 30rd mags to see how they fair. All in all it's better then the stock 10, they are detachable, and they are made of good quality materials. But just wish they actually could handle 20rds.

adjustment on sks
Like everyone that I have bought you have to make it fit by using sandpaper where the mag slides into place. Plenty of suggestions on several wed sites.

SKS 20 rd Mag
Bought 2 mags from a gun show dealer. All plastic construction wasn't too impressive. Spring tension seems weak when only a few rounds left in mag. Also had to modify the backstrap to fit into my Chinese SKS. Top was too long for lock-up mechanism and had to be cut down before it would even go in all the way. I realize almost all mags need some fine-tuning when new, but this was excessive. If you're not a reasonable amature gunsmith, don't try this at home!

If you have done the conversion to your sks then this is the best mag to buy. Do not waste your time with promag as they are garbage. I've heard good things about the 75 round drum but I have no experience there. Honestly if I had the option I would leave my sks original. Didn't buy it that way unfortunately...
