So far so good! Just installed it. Works great. I've had the same brand in my boat for the last 10 years. Hope this one last that long. Thanks! July 14, 2010
Swivl-Eze pedestal The concept of this pedestal is great, but unfortunately I've had 2 fail in less than a year. Hopefully BPS makes good on the second one, but I'd sure like to try a different brand next time. June 6, 2010
Great Product This was a great addition to my boat. All I need now is another one for the back! Very well made. March 24, 2007

What / How is it adjustable. Min and Max heights of adjustment. What size is the shaft or what base will it fit.

A:
It has a lever on the side to adjust up and down. I think it's 24 inches on the low end, and about 30 on the tall end. I'm about 6'0" and at tallest point, it's more of a lean on seat than a sit on the top. I would only use this for a butt-seat for a front deck casting support.

The base is not the standard 2 3/8", it is more in line with about a 1 1/2" base.

A:
No, it's not. I made the mistake of ordering this thinking it would fit...it's closer to a 1 1/2" base, not the 2 3/8" as I thought.
