Look at post size twice before ordering. My mistake, as I looked at tons of pedestals online before I ordered this one, completely forgetting to notice the lack of the standard pin base. Hopefully BPS return policy will be forgiving

I was forced to buy this as Swivl-Eze doesn't offer a tall enough seat post for the casting deck. Now that I've installed it, I love having the ability to adjust the seat height. The pneumatic action is powerful and easy to adjust.

The concept of this pedestal is great, but unfortunately I've had 2 fail in less than a year. Hopefully BPS makes good on the second one, but I'd sure like to try a different brand next time.

I don't know what type of base it fits, it does not use the standard swivl-eze pin base however.A:Â
It has a lever on the side to adjust up and down. I think it's 24 inches on the low end, and about 30 on the tall end. I'm about 6'0" and at tallest point, it's more of a lean on seat than a sit on the top. I would only use this for a butt-seat for a front deck casting support.The base is not the standard 2 3/8", it is more in line with about a 1 1/2" base.

No, it's not. I made the mistake of ordering this thinking it would fit...it's closer to a 1 1/2" base, not the 2 3/8" as I thought.1 of 1
