Swivel EZE LockN Pin Pedestal You have to be careful not to let pedestal sit up after use without lubricating. If moisture gets into inner cavity it will rust and seize. Even worse if using around saltwater. The price may be a bit high for the product November 9, 2006
Not for Saltwater Use ... "This product will work great "until" it is exposed to a saltwater enviroment for any length of time. As other s/w reviewers have stated - if you leave your boat in the water, or fish alot, & don't take the pedestals inside & spray down the base pin & the interior cylinder post - rust, corrosion, & the unit locking up will be the result. I have 2 chairs on my rear casting deck of my Bay Boat & I've been through 3 sets of 2 of the Swivl-Eze Power Post & Adjustable Seat Mounts, and all 6 have ended up in the dumpster - I should have stopped at the 1st set. This is the type of product that should be well marked - "Not for use in Saltwater"." May 23, 2008
The right size The seat pole on my new Z8 was too tall to relax while I fished. I was always on my toes when fishing. The shorter pole allows me to keep my feet flat on the deck and more relaxed. October 28, 2014
Much better I have returned two power pedestals made by a different mfg. One had a loose mounting pin and the other had a bent mounting pin. I then looked at an old one that always worked well and found it was a Swivl-Eze, so I ordered the shorter one made by Swivl-Eze and it worked perfectly and is completely solid. I have now purchased the longer version and it too is perfect. Good quality control. Not all pedistals are created equal. June 28, 2010

Details:
I'm confused by the threaded or standard model. I have a Swivl-Eze that twist in to the base to secure. My seat just drops into my current pedestal; no twisting, but I'm looking for an adjustable model to change seat height. Thanks.

A:
The threaded model drops into the hole on your deck, you screw in to tighten it so it will not pull out. The top is where you put your pin seat on and it has a locking screw to tighten down the seat . The lever is to raise or lower your height, hydrolic gas pressure.

A:
are you asking about your seat mounting to the pole or the pole mounting to the floor of your boat?
the seats just have a pin that drops into all the poles.
