does not lock. had to add electrical tape so it did not jump out on the fly.

The Swivl-Eze Power Pedistal worked great as a replacement pedestal for the back seat on my Bass Boat. My co-anglers used to complain that the seat would not rotate; because their tackle bag was hitting the bottom of the seat. Aftyer adding the power pedestal the seat will roate 360 degrees and clears their tackle bag. Problem solved!

This is the best power pole I have ever used. It has the quickest and smoothest movement of 4 or 5 powere poles I have used over the years. Also the release handle is very high and large which make it much easier to find without looking for it.
