I needed a 6" pedestal so Ibought 11"and cut them down .They worked just fine ,and retained there strength.

Use this lenght for the kids, wife, and shorter fishing buddies. Its great for people 5'8 or shorter. The 13 in is good all around but may be too tall for the above people.
