Rated 5 out of 5 by Swivl-Eze Lock'N Pin Pedestal I used this pedestal (shorter one) and it was perfect. It was just the right height. It was in between standing and sitting, just what I wanted. I fished 5 hours with it without tiring. I recommend it to someone who doesn't want to stand all day and can't sit because the seat is too close to the deck. 5 star rating. April 5, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Swivl-Eze adjustable seat post Worked well for two months. I never had it within 250 miles of saltwater. It did get rained on but a marine product should be able to handle that. I won't buy another one. December 28, 2009
Rated 1 out of 5 by Stuck!!!!! I have purchased 3 power pedastals over the last six years. All have failed the same way. I have even taken care as to limit their exposure to weather and oiled them frequently. Didn't matter! I would not purchase another except they seem to be the only game in town for my base. Rated 5 out of 5 by Sexy's Real Review I’ve owned one of these for a few years now. I wanted a quality seat elevator that I could use with my butt seat that could stand up to me (I’m a BIG guy – 6’ 5” 350lbs). So far this pedestal has lived up to my expectations. I like its solid design and resistance strength when it comes to holding my weight. If it can hold me up then it’s a winner! Granted, I usually lean on it because I mostly use a butt seat when fishing, so I don’t use the hydraulics on it all that much. I have used it with a regular seat too and it has always performed excellent. **Pros** 1. Solid design 2. Has a locking screw to hold your seat down on it once mounted 3. Has wire loop that can be used to attach a towel or other accessories too for fishing **Cons** 1. Other reviewers complain of poor performance in saltwater conditions I saw in some of the other reviews that it doesn’t do well with saltwater. I can’t comment on that because I only freshwater fish. As far as the hydraulic function goes; mine still works great. If you do plan on purchasing this for saltwater applications then you may have to try cleaning it with a mild marine grade cleaner and water after each use to prevent seizing. I have purchased other Swivl-Eze products and have always been satisfied with their products quality, functionality, and warranty/support. I would recommend this pedestal to others in a heartbeat! Details:
I'm confused by the threaded or standard model. I have a Swivl-Eze that twist in to the base to secure. My seat just drops into my current pedestal; no twisting, but I'm looking for an adjustable model to change seat height. Thanks.

A:
The threaded model drops into the hole on your deck, you screw in to tighten it so it will not pull out. The top is where you put your pin seat on and it has a locking screw to tighten down the seat . The lever is to raise or lower your height, hydrolic gas pressure.

are you asking about your seat mounting to the pole or the pole mounting to the floor of your boat?
the seats just have a pin that drops into all the poles.
