Swarovski EL SWAROVISION Binoculars
Okay, to start out I think I surely read over every review available for these 10 x 42's on the internet. Everyone talked about the quality and the great customer service Swarovski provides so I thought I might as well bite the bullet and hopefully end up with optics for a lifetime. All I can say is I feel like I struck gold when I took them outside and looked through them for the first time. There is NO distortion whatsoever. Perfectly clear from edge to edge (not exaggerating here)... it's almost like you forget you're looking through binoculars at all. My other optics are a Nikon XL II spotting scope and Nikon Monarch binoculars and it's a big step up from those. The resolution you get is superb. Honestly wasn't aware that there were optics this good out there. I know, I know it sounds too good to be true but every now and then you get just what you paid for and this is one of those times. The carrying case that comes with it is very nice. It has a compartment for your binoculars that is felt lined to protect them and then it has a divider in the middle that allows you to carry other items. Brochure suggests things like a camera, wallet, cleaning items... whatever you might need when you're out and about. Plenty of room for whatever you might need. I was nervous about the lens covers. Afraid I would spend all this money and the protection would be lacking and I would scratch them somehow. Well, it comes with great objective covers that fit very tight... so tight it took several tries to get them on there... confident they'll stay put. They fall completely down and out of the way when you need to view something too. The eyepiece cover "ratchets" in the middle so it can accomodate any position... doesn't matter if you need them to be folded out wide or narrow, it will fit just right and securely. The neck strap is extremely nice and adjusts very quickly. Has a quick adjust system that I've never seen before and shows their quality once again. Comes with the camera adapter (I'll probably never use this) and cleaning cloth as well. The eye cups have three positions and lock securely into place. I have a pair of 10 x 25 Leica Ultravids and I need those extended all the way out but when I barely hit them with my eye it causes them to push in. Not the case with these... they stay where you want them. Headed to Yellowstone in a week and will be using these next Spring in Florida and Kansas to hopefully finish my turkey grand slam and I'm POSITIVE I'll be pleased while viewing what nature has to offer! What's that old saying, "buy the best and you only cry once?" I am by no means a rich man and this was a ton of money for me but I really do think this saying applies here. Hope this helps a little. :)

Wow!! The sights!!
I'm an avid birder and naturalist and have traveled for years with some high end Steiner travel binoculars I bought years ago - on my last trip I took a look through another travelers Swarovski's - I was hooked! Nothing compares to Swarovski - it's literally like you are looking at HD - only it's everything ahead of you and they are so easy to focus...one finger and you comand the landscape. They are pricey - I saved for months, but worth every penny!! Unbelievable clarity!
