The SureFire E2D LED Defender Flashlight offers a formidable one-two self defense punch. The Defender features both a 200-lumen beam to blind bad guys plus a heavy-duty Strike Bezel with hard-anodized aluminum teeth for the times when physical deterrence is necessary. 2-hour run time on high; 76-hour run time on low (5 lumens). Includes two 123A 3V lithium batteries. Two-stage tailcap switch: press for momentary-on at high setting, release and press again (within two seconds) for momentary-on at low setting; click for constant-on at high-setting, click off and click on again (within two seconds) for constant-on at low setting. Color: Black. Length: 5.4".

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pipper Terrific upgrade! I have the original E2D Defender from Surefire: it is a superb flashlight and defensive weapon, but I love this new 2-stage LED model so much more. The LED is twice as bright, and the low power output is very useful. The beam is tight, focused and bright with a long throw. It's as rugged as the the original, and I like that it's a bit longer. If you can have only one of these, I recommend the LED. October 15, 2008
