What's the point in having track that glows in the dark, if the car doesn't? For our son and grandson, the fun is in watching the car travel over the coaster. They can only see where the car really is in the dark by where they can't see track as the car travels over it! I went ahead and purchased glow in the dark paint and painted the car so they could enjoy the glow in the dark feature!
As far as the red power pack, it really doesn't work well enough for this coaster. It either needs to be moved or you have to change the track up to allow the car to travel around the entire track. I just haven't been able to figure out where to move it to make it work right. We've tried moving it a couple times, but it still doesn't work quite right. I think we prefer the other, green type of motor and may give it a try to change over the power pack to one from another coaster to see if that would work better.
Like usual, the manual to put the coaster is mostly drawings with very few actual written directions. We accidentally read the directions wrong and put the wrong pieces in the wrong place a couple times and had to go back and find the places we did it since we were short pieces several steps later. Then, we had to figure out the right pieces and replace them so the correct pieces were where they were supposed to be. In some of the pages, they show a picture of the pieces with the number used, but that was just the orange rods. Maybe if they would do that with the connectors, we would be able to put them in the right place the first time! Usually, our mistakes are whether we're supposed to use gray or blue connectors and that's where we have to go back and correct our mistake. I've found it's a lot easier to put together the coaster if I download the directions, so we can enlarge them and make them easier to see which pieces we are supposed to use. Our son prefers to use the paper manual though so he can try to put the coaster together on his own. The pictures in the manual are too small for me to make out some of the pieces though, so I ended up downloading them to find the right pieces to use.

It was a bit difficult to put together, but it's not supposed to be easy. That's what makes it fun. I didn't have any issues with the car like some other people did. That seemed to work great!

We could never get this to work. What a disappointing Christmas gift. The directions are to hard to see and the booster is to weak. We have replaced batteries and put it together twice. Still doesn't work. :(
