I've used Summit treestands for 21 years and will never change to another. My first Summit was years ago called the Summit Shooter 2 Boss. Loved it and they've come a long way in the years!! Yes there expensive but we'll worth it. I've also had one stolen a couple years ago the Viper classic. Just buy it and be done with it.

Before assembly get a file and clean the burs off the inside of the tubes that the cable slides into. Otherwise everytime you slide in the cable it will cut the shrink tube on the cable. They get $24 for replacement shrink tube.
I have used the stand over a dozen times. I like the wrap around bar that you can sit on to climb. It nest together well for packing and the provided strap locks it together so it doesn't clank. I like to hang the top one first. The bungie and toe hooks work well.
The harness is good, but I don't like the belt supplied to attach it to the tree. It doesn't make me feel secure. I would rather have something that cinches down on the trunk. To allow range of motion the loop has to be as big as possible and on larger trees you cannot make it big enough. I bow hunt and need enough range to git-it-done.

Easy to put together, easy to set up in the woods, and rock solid in the tree. Also very comfortable for a long sit. You won't be disappointed.
