The Sufix Performance Lead Core Fishing Line was a gift card purchase. It takes the lures to the strike zone, and the color code is handier than a reel with a counter. I am re-ordering the Sufix Performance Lead Core Fishing Line because a clerk wound too much backing on my reel and cut off the "left over" line. I want the full 100 yards.

This line was recommended to me by a fishing buddy who does a lot of trolling for walleyes. I have yet to use it myself but he told me the color codeing of this line is much better than the older lead lines. The line I am using now is difficult to distinguish some of the colors as they are so close. As my friend is on the lake daily I am sure he knows what he is talking about.

Sufix lead core fishing line is the best lead core line ever made. I can get 10 colors of lead core on my reel with no problem. Super strong and very fine polyester braid which allows line to sink fast.

Does the amount to lead thickness (diameter) increase with higher lb. test rating lines, or does the lead thickness remain the same and only the polyester braid thickness increase?

do not use it on a reel it has friction which it horrible for casting.

No this lline does not come with a mono leader or backing. For backing I have good luck with Yo-Zuri hibrid or suffix performance braid. I am using this line for stripers up here in new england. LB test of your backing should depend on what you are fishing for.Details:Â
