Purchased olive hackle for tying size 10 wolly buggers. More than half of the feathers are wide round tipped feathers totally unsuitable for use as hackle as the feather barbs stick together in clumps instead of separating into individual strands as they should. The other feathers are fine and work as expected.

Hello, I've recently purchased fly tying feathers from the Bass Pro Shop for an unusual purpose - they are to be used as decoration in scuplted gel fingernails. Finding feathers tiny enough for that purpose is what brought me to purchasing fly fishing material. They will be perfect!

Unlike most of the people who purchase this, I bought them for hair extension feathers. They are GREAT quality for this and are long and very very gorgeous colors :D

The feathers I purchased are not good for the hair. They fade. But Great feathers, they hold up great after many shampoos, blowdrys, curling iron and flat iron.

Strung saddle hackle comes from a rooster. Marabuo featers are NOT saddle feathers. I am sorry I do not know what fowel they come from.A:Â
Marabou feathers come from Turkeys. The real Marabou is from a Marabou Stork. Importation issues make the real thing very expensive if not impossible to obtain.1 of 1
