  • Great colors
  • Excellent action
  • Conveniently sewn together by the stem
Tons of great colors and excellent action in the water is what one should expect from these high-quality feathers. The Strung Marabou feathers are most commonly used for the tail of wooly buggers, crappie jigs and for winging various streamer patterns. The lightweight feather is conveniently sewn together by the stem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Maraboe Jigs Usually buy this stuff (strung maraboe) from the local flyshop for tying jigs for lake trout. They were out so I decided to give Bass Pro a try. the stuff is great. Much higher usualbe percentage than what I usually get. Will be ordering more to get the jigs ready for spring fishing in Montana. December 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pretty fair deal ! I purchased a variety of colors for tying my Bluegill flys. Great color and quality July 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Price Very nice material, many colors to choose from. Enough material to construct hundreds of Flies. April 6, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed I purchased the maribou to tie steamers for a salmon fishing trip in Alaska. The color was good but the quality of the feathers was not was I was hoping to acquire. They were coarser than I expected and the stems were long which meant I had to waste about 1/2 of the feather for the effect I wanted in the fly. September 6, 2011

A:
I use this material very often in my fly tying. I have never counted how many feathers are actually in each bag, but there are more that it looks. I would guess that it has more than a couple of dozen.
