Great auger to replace my old strikemaster. Light, quiet, and starts up on 2nd or third pull every time. Unless you get the Honda engine you always have to b aware of setting the auger down the right way. I bought the Subaru Robin 4 stroke which is great except that the auger has to be laid down with the spark plug side up or the case oil leaks onto to plug and the motor becomes difficult to start. The alternative is to spend 170 more and get the Honda motor which has a bladder to prevent said problem. When my buddies use mine I have to remind them to lay the auger down on the correct side. Really not a big deal but something to think about if your not a detail person.

Second pull every time. I purchased the propane Jiffy junk took it back after second time out. This is the best one out there . It cuts ice like butter.
