Very nice as far as hand augers go. I like the adjustable handle and the fact that the blade guard came with the auger so I didn't have to purchase one. My last one was purchased 37 years ago. I would say that they are made to last as long as you take care of them. I went through 3 sets of blades and the bottom finally just got rusted away. I'm enjoying my new one.

I bought this a few weekends ago and it has worked great. It drills holes fast and easy. My dad could get one done in 15 seconds. I could drill them in about a minute because I was constantly getting tired. But I am only 13 years old. It is also great for plunging out holes and re-drilling old holes. The blades are razor sharp right out of the package and I haven't seen any signs of it being dull. It is easy to set up I actually set it up my self. Overall a great auger. What I say is if you are going to buy a hand auger it might as well by the best one on the market!

I have purchased bad hand augers and StrikeMaster Hand Augers and for some products cheaper isn't always better. With Augers, quality means everything to keep a really sharp blade sharp through out an ice season. Strike master Lazer Hand Augers are the best and for the quality they deliver are priced right as they cut holes around the competition.

Hands down the StrikeMaster® Lazer™ Hand Ice Auger is the best auger on the market. I can drill holes faster than my buddy's who own augers that are not as efficient. I have used my Lazer all season long for a few years and it still works great, I highly recomend the Lazer hand auger, especially if a power auger is not in your buget.
