The first time out, this lure caught fish 4 to 1 over another proven performer. My fishing buddy wishes he would have bought one too!

I see where the 3/8 oz slab hammer's max fishing depth is 8', Just watch a fishing show using same lure was fishing 17' of water. Just wondering, to get lure down that deep, one must troll at a faster speed?
You'll need to add some added weight to the line to get it down to that depth. Get some of the clamshell style weights and attach them about 12" to 16" up from you lure. Another option is to use a Carolina rig with a heavy enough weight to get the lure down to that depth you'll have to experiment to see what its going to take to get it down to the desired depth. If there was no added weight on the line on the TV show you watched it could have been that the fish where stacked up at 8' depth even though the water depth was 17'.
