When the bite cools, Strike King's® innovative Jighead is a great way to shake your way out of a slump. Made for shaky style baits but great for regular tactics too, the Tour Grade Round Jighead is designed with a special barb that helps the bait stand up for improved shaky action while also working to secure the bait in place. A 60º flat eye Gamakatsu® hook keeps the knot in the proper place for better hook sets.

Simply the best I have tried many different Shaky Head set-ups and this one is by far my favorite. I had some issues when I first tried these but after finding the proper way to hook the worm, and the best worm, I am now hooked too. Through trial and error, I have found that using this jighead along with the Strike King 3X Super Finesse Worms is a deadly combination on Bass. I'll often fish with the same worm catching 10 to 15 fish on it. I still have various other styles of Shaky Head jigheads in my bag but the only time I have used one is if I run out of these. Nice jig head I bought these last summer to replace my older jigheads. I like the larger sized hooks and the coating on the head. Setting the hook was easier on these over my other jig heads. I was fishing these with power bait worms on a friends pond. First fish of the morning snapped my line, second fish fought hard(check out the fatty in the pic), but the hook stayed set. Amazing jighead for any soft plastic I started using this about a year ago on a small pond in Louisiana and paired them up with a Strike King finesse worm, the amount of bites I had was incredible. In one day i caught over 20 bass on water I had never fished before, including 4 fish over 5 lbs. When I got back to Florida, I bought a couple more packs of these and started doubling my catch rate on the ponds that I've been fishing my whole life. i have found that the go-to bait is the finesse worm, and if you're looking for something bigger you can put on a 6 inch zoom trick worm or a brush hog (either original or baby) to get the bigger bass to bite. Another great idea by Strike King. November 6, 2010
The perfect shakey head jighead I must admit I'm a shakey head fanatic. It's my goto bait/technique and have tried every kind of head out there. This one is perfect. The angle of the hook-tie allows it to pull through cover/brush nicely and the hook is strong and sharp. Has a nice wide gap as well that really improves your strike to catch ratio. This is also the only jighead that will hold the strike king 3X series baits, which work well with this jighead. December 27, 2008

I like using it with a trick or finesse worm. Something with a lot of action when it is sitting on the bottom.

I use mostly Senkos. But other soft worms and other soft plastics where you want the long shank would also work.

Gambler 'Giggy Stik' is deadly on this jig. Green pumpkin red, black and ghost shad are all excellent colors. Also Zoom finess worm in blue/black or watermelon red.

I've also fished small zoom craws on this jig head and it has worked will when the crawfish bite is on.

For the lighter jig head, you can use a finesse worm of some kind (trick worm, etc.). For the heavier jig heads, use something more like a floating senko or even a salted senko.
