I've searched a long time for a soft plastic top water lure that wasn't a frog. And I just found the one I was looking for. Caught a nice 2 pounder on less than 10 casts. And it wasn't too much later than that I got an 18 incher. The next day I had a 5 plus pounder on but lost him at the bank because of I made a mistake and my line snapped. Great lure! Rig it how they say on the package and you won't have any problems. Great Buy!

While this bait draws strikes very well the tails tear off much too easily if you're in heavy lilly pads. Which is where you least need it to happen.

My Son and I have caught many large mouths on this bait, savage strikes during post spawn time. Love fishing with this bait and the fish love it also. Strike King made another WINNER! Pearl White and the Silver Flake are the ones we tried so far, have other colors but not used them yet, expect they will work also. Just a little pricey though 5 for $5 but seem to last fairly well. Small fish have a little trouble getting the whole body in their mouth which they end up tearing the tail then ya gotta change it out - darn little fish. Caught a lot of 2 to 3 lbs. fish though. No Monsters yet.

The rage shad is awesome. Though I still love buzzbaits, I have to say this little shad outproduced the buzzer 2 to 1 last year, while being MUCH more weedless than a regular buzzbait. It's heavy, so you can throw it on casting gear quite well. Throw it on at least 12 pound test with a fast ratio baitcast, and you can crawl this thing slowwwww, while still making a great noise. My biggest bass of the year, almost 6 pounds, came on this lure. The strike to hookup ratio is pretty good, and each lure lasts at least 3 - 4 bass before needing replaced. With some mend it and parasite clips, you won't need to use more than a pack or two per year, regardless of how many bass you catch.
