  • Versatile lure works great as a top water bait, Texas rigged, or even Carolina rigged
  • Unbelievable swimming action thanks to Rage Tail technology
Is it a frog, mouse, tadpole, worm, snake, eel-or all, or none, of the above? Hard to say, but one thing's sure: Strike King's Rage Tail™ Rage Eeliminator  bait catches tons of big bass, no matter how you fish it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome lure I love this lure, I just wish I had more money to buy all of them that bass pro has in stock.. January 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bait It is not very often that something truly new hits the market and this is it, unlike every other soft plastic out there this has an upward swimming action that has so very many uses, like running a Carolina rig over the top of submerged grasses or ripping up the surface like a slow moving buzzbait. Also it has a strong side to side swimming action much like a crankbait and unlike other soft plastics that just twirl a tail. Does all this newfangle upward/side to side action work? YES! Fished it for the first time today and I am buying every color they make. A+ product even better then the other Rage products I tried. As an added bonus it throws very well even unweighted on my baitcaster, normally I have to use a spinner for weightless duty on soft plastics. November 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great lure Best bass lure I have ever used. Thesmokin rooster comes pretty close. August 3, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Rage Tail Eliminator Started using this lure when the Rage Tail topwater weren't working(not often) but the bass ate them up September 14, 2011

It can be if you work it faster or it can be used as a trailer on a skirted or naked jig head.

This is a bait you really dont want to play around with.... I use 6'10" med. heavy rod with a min. of 17 lb. fluor. or if im fishing heavy weeds 65 lb. braid and a fast reel 6.2:1 or faster... I like to use it weightless with a 4/0 heavy worm hook and kinda twitch it along like fishing a slug -go... You can let it sink a little and slow roll it too.... really alot of different ways you can fish it... really good bait...

I fish this lure weightless with a 4/0 wide gap hook on power pro, 30#, 8# dia. line. i have used viscious, 17# copolymer line and it does good too.

A:
Definitely weightless! Try using a 1/0 hook size on mono line about 10-12lb test. The natural sinking of the bait attracts the bass the most!

I fish with 50# braid and 5ft. of flourcarbon as I pitch most of my plastics. I use a 1/6th oz. cap weight so the plastic falls slowly.

No, not yet, but you never know what strike king may do next. I really haven't seen the need for either on this lure.
