HC1 Sexy Shad nails 'em! Get the shallow 2'-5' diver sexy shad for shore fishing. Man I caught like 15 fish on the first one in two days before I lost it on a tree. The hooks held up very well! I will be buying more of these for sure. Cast out and crank it in. When the line stops dead you know you got one! April 19, 2008
awsome crank in awsome colors i love this crank!!! its the only crank i use in my home body of water witch is only 11ft deep in its deepst trench. over the weekend i was fishing sum points that run into a creekchannel with the serise 1 model crank in chartruse sexy shad color and got slammed by these two hawgs on back to back cast . at the end of the day i brought back a 30 lb bag to the dock and ened up winning the tournement. i would deffenitly recomend this crank to anyboddy July 30, 2009
Sexy shad 3/8 is my old faithfull! This is my go to lure. We usually go fishing in a small shallow lake so this one is perfect for me. I've yet to be skunked this summer using it. My daughter whos only 7 caught a 5 pounder on it and it gave such a fight I thought she was going in the lake. :) I always keep a spare in the tackle box. October 12, 2011
break too easy I DID love these crank baits until i had to replace them time after time. Eyes fall off, hooks dull and bill breaks off with the slightest tap. Bupped up against a dock on a light cast, and the bill broke clean off! I had a 22" largemouth break a bill in half. Its kinda cheap price wise but I'd rather spend $10 on a lure that's gonna last. I have some lures that are 10+ years old but I cant even get a season out of these and its shame because i really love the pumpkin seed color and so do the fish but they constantly break!!! In clear water try to mimic the baitfish in that area. Like the bluegill, pumpkin etc. and for stained to muddy I like the chartreuse colors. But my primary choices are sexy shad and chartreuse sexy shad. Cant beat em!

It depends on the water clarity. In muddy water I think the dark colors are better. In stain water blue chart is good. I clear water if bass is on bluegill bite bluegill colors are great (bull bream, firetiger or pumkinseed)

The stock hooks are size 6 treble hooks. I recommend always swapping the stock hooks with number 4 kvd elite trebles. Makes a huge difference

It's pretty durable. The only scratch I got on mine was stupidity on my part. I was fishing off my dock and didn't realize where my rod tip was and whacked the lure off a piling with a metal plate on it. Made a gash in the paint. Other than that it was fine. Sexy shad is my best color.

I have used b oth baits for bass fishing and I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE PAINT JOBS ON EITHER BAITS. ONE IF THE EYES WAS KNOCKED OFF OF ONE OF THE CRANKBAITS AFTER SEVERAL HOURS OF USE.

If you want the best Strike King is the best. Their crankbaits are the best in the country and maybe in the world no one can even compare their durability and their paint jobs are flawless. They have awesome action too and I will guarantee you that you will catch a ton of fish with these lipless crankbaits if you fish them correctly.
