Rated 5 out of 5Â by danhMO Great Jig Trailer!
I have been using the 3" green pumpkin DVD chunk this Spring with very good success. I am using these typically with a 3/8 or 1/2 oz/ black bass jig without rattle. I am at a lake where the bass see lots of lures thrown their way but I have had several nice bass #up to 5 lbs# nail it on the jig this Spring. And there are more to come, I'm sure of it! :-) These fish have been caught on this bait under dingy water conditions due to heavy rains #1/2 to 1.5 ft visibility#.

I have had a lot of success with this product. I use the larger version 90% of the time on 3/8-1/2 oz on flipping/pitching jigs. Great colors , and there is something about the coffee scent that makes them hang on for a bit longer. I've notced most of my success on this trailer is when they are on a bottom bite or swimming the jig back. It won't give you a lot of action on the initial fall of the lure as its going down through the water column.....but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's more realistic and when the lure settles on the bottom and you start popping it a few inches off the bottom. For me its the perfect trailer when I'm really trying to imitate a crawfish....especially clearer water conditions. Great product, give them a try!

I ordered these because you no longer carry the Brauer chunks and these are the same shape and manufacturer. They are not even close to the Brauer chunks. These do not float, they are too rigid to be effective when swimming a jig and they tear rather easily in cover. Finally, they cost more.
Please replace these with the Bauer chunks.

Very simple. You simply thread the thick part of the bait on the the hook of a rubber skirted bass jig. Important to put it on straight and recommended to trim back the jig skirt so it extends just past the back end of the hook. Good luck!!A:Â
Run hook right through the center of the hard plastic headA:Â
The senior and junior chunk are usually used as a jig trailer (much like the pork style trailers). Simply feed the hook through the main body (thicker area) of the chunk and present the bass jig as normal.1 of 1
