full attack i have caught several large mouth on this lure although the skirt comes off once in a while nothing superglue cant fix. Great lure September 9, 2012
very good lure Never used a spinner bait 10 minutes out of the pakage hit 3 pound bass and just kept hitting them.Very explosive reaction when the fish bites. August 29, 2012
It's my GO TO lure for all conditions! I use the black / blue most of the time and catch fish when nothing else works. It's small, but it catches bass every time...even at night. White and green are great for stained waters. Braided line does get tangled frequently, so use a heavy mono lead. I own at least a dozen of these lures! Bass Pro's price is a little high, I usually pay $2.50 each. October 5, 2011
Perfect for bluegill This spinnerbait is perfect for bluegill. it has a few good colors bluegill like. i like to put a berkley 2" power grub that mathes the color of the spinnerbait. April 19, 2011

If there is some clarity to the water start off with 1/4 ounce double willow leaf or Strike King mini series (single blade). These are the most basic and productive spinnerbaits around to start with.
Remember spinnerbaits are the most versatile bait in the tackle box so vary your retrive and tinker with color and blade options. Be patient and keep casting quite often bass will not hit it until the thrid of fourth cast.
For starters do not invest in the expensive spinnerbaits. Start off with the 2 or 3 dollar varitey they are basic and can be just as effective.

There are many different style retrieves for a spinnerbait. You can "burn" a spinnerbait across open water to try and induce reraction strikes, slow roll the bait (slowly retreive just off bottom) to mimic a bottom feeding or struggling bait fish, or even jig.

For more information and some great tips on Spinnerbait tactics, visit our Outdoor Site Library and search keyword "spinnerbait".

Throw it around any type of structure or in and around grass. Reel it in just fast enough to keep it off the bottom bumping and twitching it over logs and sticks.

When fishing any body of water the main key is to match your bait to the forage of the species that you are targeting (often called "matching-the-hatch"). For bass and other predatory species in farm ponds this is usally some sort of bluegill or small panfish. Match the color of the spinnerbait that you are throwing as closely as possible to the prey (in the instance of the bluegill, try chartruse or fire tiger to mimic the color).

We used the color white (72) back in mid April 2009 and caught plenty of bass out of a pond that was stocked with a large variety of fish.
