A Bass Pro Exclusive! 2011 Bassmaster Classic's winning lure!
This overbuilt chunk of a scrumptious bass treat rumbles down to the ideal depth for a do-it-all cranker. The key with this Strike King™ crank is to bump it off cover—the square lip prevents most snags, and it's the easiest way to indicate to Mr. Greensides that this is his most attractive option. Add the perfect color schemes, and you're in the money!

This crankbait has great action, very eratic and immitates a frightened, or injured baitfish very well. Strike King has created a great lure at a very good price. It did not recieve five stars because I felt I needed to replace the treble hooks with higher quality hooks. However, because of the low price and overall high quality of the lure I would still highly recommend it to anyone.

I have purchased multiple Strike King crankbaits and I have to say that this KVD crankbait is best out of all of them. This crankbaits action is tremendous and the detail on the paint job is so cool. I bought the crankbait in Orange Belly Craw and it has performed flawlessly. Tie this on some 10 mono and you have a nice set it which will allow you to fish it deeper or shallow. The hooks on this bait are also really really sharp. They might be Mustad hooks, since Mustad is what KVD uses. I will definitely be buying more of these awesome crankbaits when the time comes but for now my arsenal is set for the next upcoming season. Thanks Strike King!

Square bill crank
I bought this crank bait this fall in gizzard shad color. So far its produced every time ive taken it out. Works great around stumps, it deflects very well. It is very chunky and has a great wobble. Cant wait to use it in the spring.

I have a KVD 1.5, and it is silent, no rattles. The Strike King catalog lists the KVD 1.5 as .."no internal rattles for a silent approach". Your page shows the KVD 1.5 and 1.0 with rattles, so need to make sure that is accurate.
The 1.5 is smaller then the 2.5. Let the fish tell you what they want, sometimes they want a smaller profile bait sometimes they want a larger one. Also always try to match the hatch. If you see that the forage fish seem to be smaller in your area go with the 1.5 and vice versa with the 2.5. Its always good to have a few in each size readily available.
Basically size and that's it. You have to study the forage in your fishing area to figure out which size you want. I fish in the Susquehanna River and the forage here is usually small so I go with the 1.5. Plus I am a smallmouth fisherman so smallmouth will like the smaller bait.
I'm not afraid to use mine in a grassy area. I try to make sure that they tick the top of the grass and weed beds. I've used them in ponds in my area and have been sucessful in catching bass with them.
