Strike King KVD Perfect Plastics Ocho
First of all, horizontal falling plastic jerkbaits are an awesome bait and everyone should use them, and thats why I absolutely love Gary Yamamto's Senkos. They are, I mean were my go to favorite plastic lure. Sure I still love 'em and still are throwin 4-5-6" Senkos everytime I go out, but just not as much as before. Mainly because Gary's finally got some competition. The bad thing about Gary's Senkos are that they're so soft, and when u set that hook on a certified hoss, either A- when that toad gets airborne, your jerkbait gets launched in the lake or B- your Gamakatsu hook surgically mangles it, and its pretty much useless after that. Or then its probably time to wacky it, if you're lucky enough to still have it. But honestly, good luck getting 3 fish out of a Senko, unless you are wackying it, and have the o-rings. And at $7.99 for a 10 pack, 1-2 fish per plastic doesn't make sense. Other then color selection, Strike King's Ocho has Gary's bait beat hands down. Ochos have some good colors too, and $4.69 for a 8 pack is a better deal. The action and horizontal fall is very similar to the Senko and the coffee scent smells like McDonalds McGriddles for these bass. Breakfast is served. And I am convinced that the 8-sided shape of the Ocho reflects the sunlight similar to disco ball or a diamond, and thats what makes them so much more effective bait than Senkos, but most importantly its the durability. I've probably caught a hundred bucketmouths on Ochos this month, and only went through about 2 packs of Ochos!! 8-10 fish on one Ocho is very possible, and is usually the average. I have probably 8 of the colors and they've all produced, but if I could only have one color it would be pumpkin, Tex-posed on 3/0 EWG Gamakatsu. Do yourself a favor, go get some and work 'em slow, they're Deadly!!!

Works When Others Don't
I am definitely sold on this lure. Went to a local pond(lots of weeds and Pond Scum on top) and threw everything I had. I used spinnerbaits,Yum Buzz Frog, Powerbait, Gulp, Net Bait Tiny Paca Craw, Zoom Grass Craw, Senko(Wacky and Texas Rigged), a jig, and somethings I may have forgotten. Heck, I even used Jack's juice on some of the lures. Caught my only 2 bass with the Ocho(Watermelon). These bass inhaled this lure. Strike King and KVD have a winner here. Going back to get some more , as it's 1 and done, once the bass swallows these. Must be the Coffee.
