  • Little, supple, totally natural build
  • 6 appendages
Looking for a creature bait that excels in heavy cover—that won't hang up on every leaf and stem it touches? The Game Hawg has a lithe, supple, totally natural build that allows it to slither cleanly through vegetation with no loss of action. With 6 appendages all working together, it's the perfect jig trailer, and can also pull extra bites on a drop shot rig. All KVD Perfect Plastics lures feature soft, salt impregnated plastic and an exclusive coffee scent that masks human scents and oils to produce more and longer bites.
Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 33 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 Nearly Perfect To be completely honest, I first bought this bait because I thought it looked alright. I'd never used any other Strike King products from the KVD line up. In the end though, I could hardly have made a better choice. The first time I ever dropped it in the water (side of shallow dock just to test the action) I had a nice rockbass hit it the second it hit the surface. I proceded to use it in a texas rig on the edge of a rocky shore drop off and was astonished by the effectiveness of it. After the first hour and a half i'd landed 2 pike, 5 largemouth, and a 18 inch smallie. Unfortunately, at this point, I only had one bait left in the package. The action and scent of this bait are perfect but the durability brings it down. When using these, the last thing you want is for your fish to jump because, chances are, the Game Hawg will fly away. I've been buying this product for a year now and I'm never disapointed whether I'm jigging it through lily pads, clear or murky waters, or water of any depth. Because of the success I had with this product I also explored the rest of the KVD lineup and have caught several fish on every single bait. I'm not sure why the fish like these so much more than everything else, but I'm happy just knowing that they have what it takes to catch me the fish. September 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by King of the C-Rig When its time to Carolina Rig, this is my go to bait. Works great Texas rigged too, but when I need a fish, my C-Rig comes out with this bait on the end. Bama bug rules no matter what color the water. July 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by great bait, not sturdy I have these guys in the green pumpkin, and they have great action. Lots of movement and nice sink rate. The only problem which is both major and minor is that they tear pretty easily. After only 1 fish my bait was done. The up side is that they can make an excellent trailer. If you're looking for a sturdy bait go else where. This bait does get the fish. July 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Muddy Water Bait Recently fished in club tournament and used the June Bug exclusively. Got a limit in about two hours. Pitched up to wood and stumps and fished it slow. Lazer Trokar 3/0 EWG, 1/16 oz bullet weight on braided line Texas rigged. Water was muddy due to recent storms through the area. Tried a red flick shake and had no takers. Love this bait! A:
1/0 wide gap will get the job done for smaller 1 - 21/2 pound fish. But probably a 2/0 for all around fishing.

I rig it on a 1/8 or 3/16 to slow the rate of the fall, use a 3/0 offset hook. I've never used it as a jig trailer, not sure On that but I can tell you this bait will catch you Larry's in clean to murky water 1' to 20' depths, great buy!!

I rig mine with a 1/4 oz tungsten and with a hook size of 3/0, and on occasion with a 2/0. I would use it as a jig if I had to, but I get good quality bites just as is on a texas rig. However if I were to use it on a jig, I would use it on a skirted jig, but remove the head to make it a little more compact.

I rig it with a 1/8 oz tungsten weight with a 3/0 ewg Gamakatsu, because the 1/4 oz makes it fall faster than I prefer. I also use the back legs as a jig trailer after the bait tears up on a texas rig.

I use 1/8 to 3/8 weight ,lead usually and
#2 or #3 widegap hook. It could be
used as trailer on skirted jig. color
would be determined by jig color/
match the hatch so to speak.
