Looking for a creature bait that excels in heavy cover—that won't hang up on every leaf and stem it touches? The Strike King® KVD Perfect Plastics Game Hawg has a lithe, supple, totally natural build that allows it to slither cleanly through vegetation with no loss of action. With 6 appendages all working together, it's the perfect jig trailer, and can also pull extra bites on a drop shot rig. All KVD Perfect Plastics lures feature soft, salt impregnated plastic and an exclusive coffee scent that masks human scents and oils to produce more and longer bites.

  • Little, supple, totally natural build
  • 6 appendages

Good Choice Have used zoom brush hog for a few years flipping in the grass in Fl lakes with good success. Since using these Game Hawgs this year I'm catching twice as many in the same lakes as years past. Don't know if it is the coffee, the softer plastic or what, but can't argue with the success! Only con is that it tears easier than other reviews have stated. Bass don't want to let go of it! April 19, 2009
Deadly in the summer What an awesome bait by Strike King. I use it alot in the summer when the weeds are real thick. I've been fishing a local pond by my house with less than average results. One day I tied on theHawg with a worm weight and it was on! Watermelon with red flakes has been the color for me. November 30, 2009
Best soft plastic bait ever I havn't used this thing much in tournaments but on ponds its a killer. I've caught so many big bass on this thing. I've also just caught alot of bass on this thing. Use a 1/4 oz weight and just drag or hop along the bottom. By far the best sight fishing bait I've ever used. June 1, 2010
Great lure Great lure out fishes zoom brush hog 4 to1. They drive fish nuts. November 10, 2008

A:
1/0 wide gap will get the job done for smaller 1 - 21/2 pound fish. But probably a 2/0 for all around fishing.

I rig it on a 1/8 or 3/16 to slow the rate of the fall, use a 3/0 offset hook. I've never used it as a jig trailer, not sure On that but I can tell you this bait will catch you Larry's in clean to murky water 1' to 20' depths, great buy!!

A:
I rig mine with a 1/4 oz tungsten and with a hook size of 3/0, and on occasion with a 2/0. I would use it as a jig if I had to, but I get good quality bites just as is on a texas rig. However if I were to use it on a jig, I would use it on a skirted jig, but remove the head to make it a little more compact.

A:
I rig it with a 1/8 oz tungsten weight with a 3/0 ewg Gamakatsu, because the 1/4 oz makes it fall faster than I prefer. I also use the back legs as a jig trailer after the bait tears up on a texas rig.

A:
I use 1/8 to 3/8 weight ,lead usually and
#2 or #3 widegap hook. It could be
used as trailer on skirted jig. color
would be determined by jig color/
match the hatch so to speak.
