I was fishing in a lake called Cranes Roost. I thought I'd never catch a big bass in it. But then I used KVD's swimming jig, I love it. I was using a bluegill colored one in cloudy water. Cought myself about a 4 pounder. The biggest fish I've cought in months. Definately a go to bait.

Great Jig! You can pitch it at a target and then swim it if you don't catch one on the cover. Very high hook up ratio! Excellent trailer keeper!

I used this jig and caught the largest bass ever in my life.Comes trhough brush really good , doesn't hang up.Very easy to use,cast and wind. Can be used with or without a trailer.Looks great comming through the water.

what color trailer would be close to a bluegill? and is a single tail grub best for it?

Paca chunk has several colors that work really well with bluegill. I like green pumpkin candy and okeechobee craw. Rage tail craws are a little bigger and work well also. Single tail grubs and baby fluke will work too.

Strike King baby Craw is what I use for a trailer and use Green Pumpkin but there is the Okeechobee Craw color that can also work. In all, I've found the Strike King craw colors are the best for this jig.A:Â

I have tried swimming this bait, jigging it, and everything else I can think of, but I can't seem to get any bites. I got the bluegill color in the 3/8 oz. I have no idea why this isn't working for me. KVD lures have always produced for me, especially the spinnerbait, in the firetiger.Answers

The easy way is to fish with someone who knows how to use jigs. They can be fished a lot of different ways and different trailers, small vs large or curly vs craws, change everything. Slight twitching causes the skirt to flare on slow retrieves. Short hope on the bottom also works.A:Â
Try some craws or tubes.A:Â
I use the same color here in WI in ultra clear water and add yamamoto hula grubs in smoke and red and watermelon and constantly throw in weed beds and slow roll them back or cast and fast swim back on surface. Have caught bass and pike this way.

Add a trailer, throw when water is too clear for a spinnerbait. Otherwise keep using your spinnerbaits.A:Â
Try to bounce the lure off the bottem and let it sit, then bounce it and jig it up about 1 to 2 feet then let is sink. works for me. good luckA:Â
Make sure you use a color that matches the bait fish in the lake or pond. I fish a private lake and they eat the blue gills so I put a tariler on as well to the color of the bluegills best time to use them is overcast and windy days. They are also great night fishing luresAnswers

Well it depends on the angle that your fishing, as well as how swift the water is. I have used this bait in pretty swift rivers for smallmouth and have had excellent sucess with it.Details:Â
This jig looks great but is there a brownish red one available. Those always work good as a jig color.Answers

there is no red one. But it's easy enough to switch the skirt.A:Â
That would be an great color, although i have not been able to find one in this exact model. Possibly speak to strike king directly, they should know how to get one if you can.1 of 1
