  • Little, supple, totally natural build
  • 6 appendages
Looking for a creature bait that excels in heavy cover—that won't hang up on every leaf and stem it touches? The Game Hawg has a lithe, supple, totally natural build that allows it to slither cleanly through vegetation with no loss of action. With 6 appendages all working together, it's the perfect jig trailer, and can also pull extra bites on a drop shot rig. All KVD Perfect Plastics lures feature soft, salt impregnated plastic and an exclusive coffee scent that masks human scents and oils to produce more and longer bites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bushhawg soft plastic bait I have found that there are several different hawg baits around. The Strike King KVD is the best one I have in my tackle box. The coffee flavor must have something to do with the many bits in get on it. Want use any other. July 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Well worth the cost!! I've fished these baits on 3 different states from MA to GA and both clear and murky water, this bait has put fished local residents on several bodies of water whom claim they have the inside scoop on the water. If your a Bass fisherman this bait should be in your arsenal, period!! May 14, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best Stike King Bait These are my go bait in pre spawn. when fish are lay downs. April 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Go To Bait This lure has proven to me it's a go to bait. When I'm fishing soft plastics this bait will be on my hook. I feel the scent and the suttle movement this plastic has catches plenty of nice bass. August 24, 2011

I rig it on a 1/8 or 3/16 to slow the rate of the fall, use a 3/0 offset hook. I've never used it as a jig trailer, not sure On that but I can tell you this bait will catch you Larry's in clean to murky water 1' to 20' depths, great buy!!

A:

A:
I rig mine with a 1/4 oz tungsten and with a hook size of 3/0, and on occasion with a 2/0. I would use it as a jig if I had to, but I get good quality bites just as is on a texas rig. However if I were to use it on a jig, I would use it on a skirted jig, but remove the head to make it a little more compact.

A:
I rig it with a 1/8 oz tungsten weight with a 3/0 ewg Gamakatsu, because the 1/4 oz makes it fall faster than I prefer. I also use the back legs as a jig trailer after the bait tears up on a texas rig.

A:
I use 1/8 to 3/8 weight ,lead usually and
#2 or #3 widegap hook. It could be
used as trailer on skirted jig. color
would be determined by jig color/
match the hatch so to speak.
