Strike King Tour Grade Football Jighead
This is a good, quality jig with a nice hook that is sharp right out of the package.
THE GOOD: The jig is made from quality components. The hook shank is nice and long. Paint is even and stable on my batch.
THE BAD: Price is a bit much, but again, you get what you pay for. Also the bait keeper barb is a little thick, so if you're rigging this weedless you'll pop your worm off by the jig head kind of easily.
THE VERDICT: This is a great jig - but if you rig worms weedless on jigs a lot, look for something with a spring holder or something a little less bulky.
As long as you know how you intend to fish this, you won't have any problems!

Great for finesse
This jig is great for finnese fishing. I use it for shaky-head jigging. But there are other ways to use this.

Hook is too thin
The hook on this jighead is simply too thin. The second bass I caught during a recent trip straightened the hook a little. After bending it back the next bass came off after a shake of his head. Upon inspection the hook was straightened even more. Simply too thin.

When I reach for the shakey, my bait will be threaded on one of these. I am like a tiger, crouched, waiting in the bushes till thse go on sale, then crouch, and spring! I buy em up by the case. I have left many in the bottoms of the lakes and rivers throughout our great nation. Never had a problem with dull hooks or scratched up paint. Give them a shot. Buy now or crouch and wait!
