Strike King® Coffee Tube Softbaits
Sporting a classic tube shape, Strike King's Coffee Tubes are enhanced with real coffee bean granules and coffee bean oil to give the tubes an earthy tinge and a naturally strong scent/taste big bass are eager to slurp up. Not only does the coffee scent/flavor entice and encourage fish to hold the bite longer, it also works to mask human scents. They are salt-impregnated too!
The 3-1/2'' Coffee Tube has a hollow head and is most effective when rigged with an internal tube jighead for dragging, jigging, or fishing structures with the hook exposed.
The 4-1/2'' Coffee Tube has a solid head and a hollow body. Great on a Texas rig for flipping and pitching.

I have seen Coffee Tubes used numerous times on Flats Class to catch Red Fish. I have had three days to fish these lures. The material is awesome, STRONG. Hooked into a good sized Jack. It came out in new condition. The jig head had to be replaced but the Coffee tube was in tack. The only suggestion is purchase the Strike King Jig head along with this product.(available from Bass Pro Also) Seems to hold better with the longer barb other wise the coffee tube starts to slide back from jig head. Nothing a bit of super glue wouldnt fix if I had it on the boat that day.
Like to test these out a bit more but they have showed good promise. Need better weather conditions than the first 3 times. I'm sure they will produce. Will update with pics when they do...See you soon.

This is the best tube or soft bait I have used. I recently caught a 5+ lb large mouth and a 23" walleye on the same tube. I think the coffee flavor is what makes the difference.

I'm planning on getting this and is using the Owner Phantom tube hook a good hook for this bait? If it is what size? and if not, what other bait/ hook?Answers
A:Â
You can use various hooks ,but the hook bend must fit snuggly up against the entrance to the tube center. Different manufactures of tube baits vary in size as to what hook type and size fits best even though on the package they have the same size listed such as four inch. You need to experiment but make sure its snug but still straight or it will spin in the water. No Good.Top 25 Contributor

I have a large farm pond in my backyard and it's is very weedy without any real cover except for weeds everywhere. What is the best way to fish tubes in this situation?Answers
A:Â
You need to swim it ,fast enough to keep it out of the weeds. Normally casting along the bank and reeling close to shore in small ponds work great. try a Tiny Torpedo topwater bait along the banks experimenting with different retrieves it's been a killer for decades. I personally have probably caught in excess of 2500 bass over my life with this baits in similar circumstancesTop 25 Contributor

Throw on a 3/8 to 1/2 ounce weight, peg it and texas rig your hookA:Â
Texas rigged with a 1/16oz bullet weight and a 3/0 offset worm hook.A:Â
you need to throw it over the cover and reel it in to the cover. i have actually done this before and i almost caught a fish on every cast. in my my private pond there is stick ups everywhere and i have filled my pond with largemouth, smalliesblue catfish and bluegill. my pond is 30 feet deep in one spot and is usually about 50 degrees.A:Â
well when fishing weeds i like to use a topwater frog but using a tube id keep it bout a half foot under give it a good shake on your retrievesNumber One Contributor

I would Texas rig the tube. I would use a Tungsten weight, and a Gamakatsu® EWG Worm Hook. It will keep your tube really weedless. You may also want to fish it on a braid line like Power Pro.A:Â
I fish ponds a lot.The best way I have found is to use the mister twister keeper hook and place a small split shot sinker ahead of it.Top 1000 Contributor
A:Â
You can fish it texas with a wide gap hook and a sliding worm weight, or purchase BPS EZ tube weights which places the weight inside the tube. I prefer the EZ because I don't like weight exposed, but try both. They will have very different actions.Answers

At you local Bass Pro Shop store or on their website. They come in many sizes to fit any application that you are looking for. Heavy for thick cover or lighter weight for cases when you just want to fish them in open water.A:Â
Bass Pro Shops carries the jig heads. Search under Strike King Jig Head. They work the best for this product too.A:Â
Unfortunately, the Strike King Tube Jigheads are currently not available. However, we do offer a number of other branded tube jigheads including a few of our own Bass Pro Shops Tube Jigheads. To locate these and more, do a product search for "tube jighead".Details:Â
i've never fished tubes before(i know its hard to believe)....r these rigged texas style?...also what other ways can they be rigged?...thanks for the help!!Answers
A:Â
I use a 3/0 wide gap tube hook for a 3.5 inch tube and just insert in center so it dosen't crimp the tube ,must be straight or it will spin. Great around rocks in Spring , weeds in summer and up against and under docks summer and fall. Its a bait that works all year.Getting the right hook for different size tubes and different manufactures make take some experimenting.

Texas rigging in the best. If you get the 4.5" tubes go with a 5/0 hook.A:Â
i almost always fish my tubes texas rigged but when in a full cast u might want to keep an open hookA:Â
Use Owner Phantom Tube Hook. This Hook is made for tubes, choose weight 1/16A:Â
I use a Gamakatsu EWG 3/0 hook and use what I call a semi Texas rig. The 3/0 hook is just the right length to allow the point to pass through the tenticles and not the body then come up the other side where I just skin the point, makes for an eaisier hook set in my opinion.Top 500 Contributor

Use internal jigheads to fish any type of tube. The jigheads come in many weights and sizes depending on what type of cover you happen to be fishing. You can find these jigheads here on the Bass Pro Shop website or at you local Bass Pro Shop store.A:Â
I've used these for Inshore Red fish. Suggestion is to rig with a small (#2 or #3) split ring on the jig head for bettter action. I also added scent. I havent tried to double the lure because of shallow water fishing I've done. Hope this helps a bit.A:Â
You can fish them one of two ways. They can be Texas rigged on a EWG hook. That style is most popular fishing in the brush or flipping & pitching to shallow targets. They can also be rigged on a jig head with the hook exposed. That style works best when dragging or hopping them on large flats or dropoffs.

Yes a tube can be Texas rigged. I would use a wide gap hook that will fit the size tube you are going to fish. When fishing a Texas rigged tube I like to keep the bait compact so I peg a bullet weight, or use a XPS E-Z Tube Weight. XPS aslo makes Finesse Tube Jigheads, and Weedless Tube Heads. A simple round ball jighead will work as well.1 of 1
