Strike King Bitsy Fip Jig
I have been using Strike King Bitsy Bug Jigs since I was introduced to them about 12 years ago. I am so successful with the Bitsy Bug that I rarely use any other jigs. I fish mostly with the 3/8 oz. and a trailer jigging over rocks and flats. The jig really catches fish.

Swing and a miss
Bought a couple of these in different colors, and sizes. Personally like the 1/4 & 3/8 sizes. I have found that the weed guard, works fine in the weeds and brush, But after missing numerous fish on hook set, the guard seemed to be a bit on the stiff side. I cut some of the inner strands of the guard completely out, and shortened it up a bit. With that being done hook set was better.
The hooks on these are heavy gage, which also might of hindered hook set. Also seem to rust up pretty quickly, even when dried before storage.
NOTE- I did catch fish on these jigs, I did say yes to recommend to a friend, BUT if they're not on sale I'll be looking for something else.

I would either get this or the bitsy bug because this jig is slightly bigger than the bitsy bug. The skirt is the same size and the hook is a little bit bigger. Still can fit a trailer perfectly

Tied one of these guys on my pitching combo with 15 pound braid and trailed it with a Berkley Craw Fatty. Mine was a black 3/8 oz with a watermelon candy craw and just tossed in and around bushes. It works excellently with rather flawless hook sets and never gets hung up on limbs or weeds. They have to be replaced fairly often however after a few large fish because the hook takes some wear and bend. However, these guys are cheap and get the job done.
