Stren Original mono line is the best mono I've used yet. Spools very well on to spinning reels, casts smoothly and offers little or no line memory. Unless someone can prove to me there's something better, I won't use anything else.

I have been using Stren monofilament for 30 plus years. I've tried other brands, but always go back to stren. I cannot remember EVER losing a fish from line breakage and its castability is unsurpassed. As far as mono goes, I find it to be the best out there.

I like the high vis gold line for fishing early morning or late evening, when the visibility is low! It give me at least an extra hour of fishing over my regular clear line! It works well a bit of a memory, but not bad! Cast well, durable! Only bad thing is stren is phasing out the high vis gold color! So I'm gonna stock up!

I use 17lb. stren on baitcasters for river fishing.
