I use stren mono when I am inshore fishing for big speckled trout. It perfroms just like I expect it too. I use surface lures a lot and when a big heavy trout 4-6 lbs jumps on a surface lure and then thrashes side to side trying to throw the hook; my stren has just enough stretch and strength to handle the pressure without pulling out the hooks from the trouts semi soft mouth tissues. Started fishing with "Pop" in 1958 and have always stayed with Stren lines..Thanks Stren for some great products!!

I've used 8lb. Stren for years for everything from panfish and bass to lakers and brown trout and still prefer the original blue product over all the new colours and types of line. Buying the bulk spool allows me to respool most of my reels without all those annoying and wasteful leftovers.

I have used Stren for over 45 years. Yes, I have tried other brands and I always prefer Stren. I only use Stren mono and I have fished tournaments for years and I can count on my line. I also believe you get more hook ups with mono.
