I decided to give the 4 lb Stren Fluorocast a try as a leader line for Trout fishing. Had 4 nice 3 to 4+ pound trout, (Nebraska Tailwalkers) take the line into the weeds quite a few times during the fight, with no line problems what so ever. I was also getting more strikes than anyone around me. I gave it 5 stars for holding up the way it did.

This line would snap when I tried to cast it and every tome it backlashed (quite often), the birdsnest would be horrendus.

I have been buying this product over the past couple of years and can say that it works very well. I mainly purchase the heavy stuff 12 to 17 lbs. I have not had any major problems with this line that i have not had with other major brands so for the price it is hard to beat. It does what it is suppose to do and is made in USA.
