I have the foam version attached to my lanyard, and it works great. I use it to keep a couple flies when out walking a pond or creek so I don’t have to bring a whole fly box. It’s probably made more for smaller flies but I use it for wooly buggers(size 8-6), clousers(size 8-6) and small poppers, but wont close with big top water poppers.

I wear these out about once every two years, from over use.
Handy asscessory, I use the magnetic on my
saltwater vest and the foam on freshw. vest.
Tip:- work out which connection is best for u
then super glue the holder to the clip.
Never lost one since.
