Even though the picture in the catalog appears to be a more blonde translucent color than what I received the product still worked without the black marks. The color is actually translucent orange.

This certainly wasn't the cheapest bow stop to choose from but it will definitely last longer and work better than the other products out there. I was willing to pay a little extra to get a high quality American made product and glad I did. I replaced the original Stoltz bow stop on my C-Hawk trailer that was 15 years old. I've noticed this is the bow stop that all the high end boat trailer manufacturers use.

i bought this roller for my bass boat trailer,this roller has made it so easy to load my boat on the trailer,that i can do it myself now,as before i had to have help,this is so cool,i can go fishing by myself now.

accross the roller with boltA:Â
If you look at your bow roller, the center portion is where those measurements come from. Remember it's not the whole roller just the center portion. Hopefully that helps.
